Scenes from a Sigillian Pizza Place

(to the tune of Billy Joel's "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant")

(written shortly after Roxy and Vander's break-up.  "Pink stuff" refers to Saturnalia, a libido-inducing liquor popular among the principals of this song)

A bottle of white, a bottle of red
Or maybe some of this pink stuff instead
We'll get a table near the street
In that moldy, orc-run dive
You and me, if we survive

A bottle of red, a bottle of pink
It messes up your head till you can't think
I'll meet you then rock off your face
In our Sigillian pizza place

(mellow sax solo, followed by driving piano)

Things are okay with me these days
Got a mindlink with my twin sister
Got a good life, a lot less strife
Since I came out
We lost touch a long time ago
Since we burned down the house, you know
But you still look so good to me after
So much time

I remember those days burning down
The Twelve House Ball
Tindertwigs, too much liquor
And a lot of gall
And Anissa ran around acting like
Scarlet Pimper-nall
Cold beer, hot nights
Those stupid, careless teen-age nights...

Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, woah-ohhhhh

(More driving piano, key change)

Roxy and Vandy were always
quite randy
And the sexiest couple in school
Screwing around every cab in town
And the swimming pool
Nobody was any wilder
Even Fierna and her dad were milder
We never knew we could want more
Than that out of life
Surely Vander and Roxy would
Always know how to survive

Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, whoa-ohhh

Vander and Rox were still knockin socks
Six weeks later from the trip out to Krynn
Though Trivia was pissed about the whole affair,
They were living in sin.
Everyone thought they were crazy,
"Vander, son she's making you hazy
But there we were watchin Vander and Roxy again.

They went to an expo
With Krusk and Pem, though
And a couple of warforged from Sharn
Then out with their dads and met Trivia's cat
But that couldn't save them from harm
By week number six, Roxy still banged chicks
And Vander didn't give a good darn

They screwed for a while in a
Very nice style
But it's always the same in the end
Roxy got in a fight with Trivia one night
And Vander punched her right in the chin
Then the king and the queen caused a
Great Big scene
And she never spoke to him again

Whoa-ohhh, whoa-ohhhh

Vander and Roxy had run out of moxy
By the concert of Forged in War
From the high to the low
to the end of the show
For the rest of their lives
Vander moped all 'round the place
And Roxy started banging her best friend 'Stace
We always knew they would both
Find a way to survive
That's all I heard about Roxy and Vander
Can't tell you more with as much candor
And here we are wavin' Roxy and Vander good-bye

Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, whoa-ohhhhh

(paino slows, mellow play out)

A bottle of red, a bottle of pink
The sort of thing that makes you think
I'll meet you Sunday, face-to-face
In our Sigillian Pizza Place
