Sigil
In the center of the Multiverse (well, the center of the Great Wheel, depending on how Greyhawk-centric you are), is a city called Sigil, which floats an infinite distance above the Outlands, inside a hollow ring ("torus" for those who enjoy geometry and anal retentiveness).
Sigil is one of the great extraplanar metropolises, and colloquially known as "The City of Doors", because there's all kinds of portals all over the dang place, leading to all parts of the multiverse, and a couple to other multiverses, though we don't speak much of those. The locals speak some sort of Cockney slang which is largely sarcastic and dismissive. If you don't understand what somebody says, they probably insulted you. Or your parentage.
Sigil Prep students, of course, will want to become familiar with the city, as it will become your home for at least five years. The local area, Sigil East, is detailed in more depth in the Volo's Guide to Sigil East. Herein are some places of interest in the rest of the city.

The Brass Ring: A bar catering to fire subtypes, in the Hive Ward of Sigil. A favorite hangout of Amizath d'Orien.
Brass Ring Staff
Jim (fire genasi Expert-5): bartender at the Brass Ring, and good friend of Amizath d'Orien. He's extremely friendly, and something of a flirt.
The Drinkin' Hole: The biggest dive in the Hive.
Hive of Scum and Villainy: The other biggest dive in the Hive. A Goblinetti hangout.
Services
Civic Festhall: Most famous of Sigil's Sensoriums, places run by the Society of Sensation for the purpose of allowing people to experience numerous sensations.
Fell's Tattoo Parlour: Tattoo parlor run by a dabus named Fell.
Lodging
SinHellen's Acres: An apartment complex in The Lady's Ward, built (oddly) around an active volcano, although such things shouldn't exist in the middle of Sigil
