Sherwood/Camelot

Deep in the forests of Sherwood, a bunch of unnaturally merry rogues plot to redistribute wealth.  The king is corrupt, the local sheriff is downright evil, and the adventuring is swashbucklery.  The greatest of the local heroes, Robin of Loxley, is usually kidnapped or away, so there isn't any overshadowing for adventurers who drop by.  On the other hand, there aren't all that many monsters; just palace guards and fat sheriffs.

Another kingdom on this plane, Camelot, is full of chivalric adventure and quests for items of great power.  So it's all good.

Notable inhabitants of Sherwood

Alan-a-Dale (Human Bard-8):  One of the Merry Men of Sherwood.  He's a very good bard, with all the knowledge and the lute-playing and what.  Not much of a singer, though.  And terrible at song-writing.

Gomer (human Warrior-5) and Goober (human Warrior-5):  Dimwitted guards at Sheriff of Nottingham's house.

Little John (human Fighter-8):  One of the so-called "Merry Men" of the plane of Sherwood.  He is, in fact, quite merry.  Almost frighteningly so.

Sheriff of Nottingham O'Leary (human Fighter-10):  His first name is "Sheriff of Nottingham", so the fact that he holds the position of Sheriff, in the community of Nottingham, is fitting.  One of the main BBEG's on the plane of Sherwood, he seems to be easily distractible, and quite greedy.
