Gods and Powers
(who have actually appeared in the game)
Bel (Arch-devil; Lord of the First): One of Dispater's annoying neighbors. Bel is the lord of the first layer of Hell, and as such is a bit overbearing. He sometimes treats Dispater as a tenant, rather than an equal. Dispater retaliates to that landlord mentality by asking Bel to fix his toilets. (based on the core D&D character; property of WotC)
Belial (arch-devil; Lord of the Fourth): Father of Fierna, and devil friend of Dispater. He's the overprotective father from Hell. The fourth layer of Hell, to be exact. Belial loves his daughter... a bit too much, but we won't talk about that, there might be kids present. He's the first to leave Dispater's dinner parties in an angry huff. (Based on the core D&D character; property of WotC)
Blibdoolpoolp (Intermediate goddess): The goddess of the Kuo-toans and bubbly noises. Funniest name in the multiverse, and member of Hextor's T&T game. (based on the established D&D character; property of WotC)
Dionysus (Intermediate Deity): Olympian God of Getting Smashed.
Dispater (Arch-Devil, Lord of the Second): Ruler of the Iron City of Dis, and one of the most powerful devils in Hell. The Book of Vile Darkness claims he is utterly calm and never shows anger, and that he never leaves his Iron Tower. That's all for the tourists and the adventurers. Just ask Professor Al'thraz'na. Jerk, jerk, jerk. Dispater has taken a vested interest in the mind flayer, Xizlqk. He also likes to hold dinner parties, which are often attended by Xizlqk, Vander, and (for some reason) Tinya. These parties generally prove how idiotic the rest of the Lords of the Nine are, and Dispater must love punishing himself to keep having them. (based on the D&D arch-devil; property of WotC)
Talos (advanced Iron Golem): Manservant of Dispater.
Fharlanghn (Intermediate Deity): The Greyhawk god of wandering and mooching. Although he doesn't play in Hextor's T&T game, he hangs around and eats their snacks. (Based on the Greyhawk/core D&D character; Property of WotC)
Fierna (arch-devil; apparent Lord of the Fourth): Daughter of Beliel, and the ultimate Spoiled Brat. She is a frequent guest at Dispater's dinner parties, and begs daddy to let her keep the various mortals there (notably Vander). She's Paris Hilton writ very, very large (and really, really evil). (Based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Geryon (former arch-devil; now Vestige): Former Lord of Hell; now a vestige. Prior to the Binder program, he mainly begged in the streets for BBEG work. (Based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Graz'zt (demon lord): One of the most powerful of all the demons lords, and father of Genna. He's not a good dad, because he can't express love (or like, or tolerance) of his daughter, but he tries to buy her off with overblown revenge schemes. (based on the core D&D character; property of WotC)
Hades (greater deity): Olympian god of death and ironic torture. It's a living. He'd rather be god of chocolate cake or model trains or something, but death is fine. Really. At least he gets to be alone. Those guys in Olympus are so annoying.
Heironeous (intermediate deity): Heironeous is the Greyhawk god of justice, valor, and stick-up-the-assiness, and patron of more paladins than any other LG god on the block. Turns out, Heironeous thinks his followers are pretentious pricks, too. But what can you do? (based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Hermes (Intermediate deity): Olympian god of speed, fresh fruit delivery, athletics, messengering, and whatever else nobody else wanted. The Scooter of the gods. Looks really cool in that neon-green windbreaker, too.
Hextor (Intermediate deity): One of the primary evil deities of Greyhawk, in charge of tyranny, battle, and being an asshole, and DM of a Tunnels and Trolls game played by the gods of various mythos. (based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Io (intermediate deity): Chief god of the dragons, even though he isn't as chief as Tiamat or Bahamut. I mean, everybody knows Tiamat and Bahamut. Name one thing about Io, and don't look in Races of the Dragon. C'mon, do it! Member of Hextor's T&T game. (based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Juiblex (demon lord): A big pile of goop, Juiblex speaks entirely in the word "Blorp" (sometimes "Blort"), although other demons (and some devils) are able to understand him. He is Malcanthet's roommate, having surrendered his layer to Moralulani. For some reason, he and Mammon seem to be buddies, and frequently hang out together. (property of WotC)
Kord (Intermediate deity): Greyhawkian god of competition, athleticism, and patron of football. He's more or less the godly version of Regdar. Member of Hextor's T&T group. (property of WotC)
Kurtulmak (intermediate deity): Reclusive god of the kobolds, who seems to have an inexplicable crush on Moralulani. (property of WotC)
Lliira (lesser deity): Faerunian goddess of joy and dance. She's the go-to-goddess for parties, and Sune's right-hand gal. (based on the Forgotten Realms character; property of WotC)
Lolth (intermediate deity): Patron goddess of many of the school's notable power players. She should really avoid talking to reporters. (based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Malcanthet (demon lord): The queen of the succubi, which may make her a devil lord nowadays, except there isn't an opening yet, so she's still serving her time in the Abyss. She lost her domain to Juiblex, and is now forced to room with him. He's late with the rent, and she always has to clean up after him. (property of WotC)
Mammon (devil prince; Lord of the Third): Dispater's annoying downstairs (in the metaphysical sense) neighbor. He comes to annoy Dispater often, and cannot resist an opportunity to betray the much smarter devil prince. Dispater generally uses this to his advantage. Mammon recently started a war on the plane of Legacy-Arcana, which he lost after interference from Xizlqk. Mammon is buddies with the demon lord, Juiblex, and the two often hang out together. (based on the D&D devil prince; property of WotC)
Mask (lesser deity): Forgotten Realms patron god of rogues, and Shar's kiss butt little tagalong. She puts up with him because he's the only other god in Shadow. (property of WotC)
Mephistopheles (devil prince): Lord of the Eighth. He has some sort of beef with Biklik, still undetailed.
The Mockery (deity): Eberronian deity of treachery, who most religious scholars on Eberron will tell you is mostly conceptual, and not a physical entity like deities on some planes. He's a member of Hextor's T&T game, and Hextor will attest to at least some physical presence. (property of WotC)
Obad-Hai (intermediate deity): Greyhawk god of magic, and Member of Hextor's T&T game (property of WotC)
Orcus (demon lord, god of the undead): One of the most notorious lords of the Abyss, recognized as a deity on many planes. Member of Hextor's T&T game. (property of WotC)
Paladine (Greater Deity): Holiest of the gods of Krynn, and member of Hextor's T&T game. (property of WotC)
Pazuzu (demon lord): Master of the skies over the Abyss, and lover of Malcanthet. Pretty useless in the face of lawyers. (property of WotC)
Primus (Modron Lord): The One and the Prime, most powerful force of Law in the multiverse, and judge over all mulitversal legal matters. (based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Prometheus (yeah, get a load of this: Advanced Paragon Titan of Legend Cleric-10): Legendary titan who gave fire to the people of Olympia, and then was chained to a mountain in the Underworld to suffer for eternity, because Zeus is an asshole. I mean, c'mon, Zeus, you demand all this stuff to be burned in sacrifice to you and junk, but you punish the guy who made that possible? I'm glad I live in Greyhawk. Douche.
Quetzelcoatl (greater deity): Aztec-type god of a bunch of stuff. He's pretty full of himself, but not a bad guy when you get to know him. Well, except for the human sacrifices.
Shar (greater deity): One of the most powerful goddesses of Faerun, in charge of darkness, shadow, biting sarcasm, and petty jealousy. She's a member of Hextor's T&T game. (property of WotC)
Sharess (demigod): Faerunian goddess of physical pleasure, and one of the carefree party-goddesses of Brightwater. She and Lliira are really good at that thing where two girls dance together and it looks really sexy, but they're goddesses, so it's extra hot. (This makes me sound kinda sad, doesn't it?) (property of WotC)
St. Cuthbert (intermediate deity): Greyhawk god of being really, really, obnoxiously stick-up-the-butt. He likes invading the Abyss and conquering demons' domains. However, he's pretty easy to trick with the "Look over there" routine. (property of WotC)
Sune (Greater deity): Faerunian goddess of beauty, love, and clique-ishness, and leader of the goddesses from Brightwater. She talks, they walk. (property of WotC)
Tiamat (goddess of evil dragons): Five-headed goddess of the Chromatic Dragons. The fact that Mammon beat her in the Lawful Evil awards still burns her butt. (based on the D&D character; property of WotC)
Tymora (intermediate deity): One of Sune's clique of Brightwater goddesses, goddess of Luck and Good Fortune. (property of WotC)
Tyr (Forgotten Realms god of justice): Even and fair god, and player in Hextor's T&T game. (property of WotC)
Waukeen (lesser deity): Of the Brightwater goddesses of Faerun, Waukeen is the somewhat nerdy tagalong. She's the brains of the outfit, and in charge of the money. Literally in charge of the money, as she's goddess of commerce. (property of WotC)
Zeus (deity): Olympian god of being in charge. During the Olympian holiday seasons, people dressed as Zeus sit at the mall and ask children what they want for Saturnalia.
Zuggtmoy (demon lord): Demon queen of fungus. She and Juiblex used to be a thing, but they've broken up now. (property of WotC)
