Background: In a world where day and night have no meaning, where crime is defined only by those who chose to enforce it, two men stand up to defend what’s right.
     He’s a by-the-book half-ogre, two months* from retirement.
He’s a maverick chaond with something to prove.
Together, they seem to be the only cops who show up for any given crime. Whether it’s murder, mutilation, or mayhem, Nark and Mav are on the scene. Arguing, in-fighting, forgiving, buddy hugging, performing over the top dramatic scenes whenever the opportunity arises.
     Narkolis Flar’garl is Nark!
     Mavdin M’lgibson is Mav!
Special guest starring Pesci Goblinetti as the lovable mobster.
Coming soon to a plot thread near you.

Appearance: Nark is a half-ogre, slightly pot-bellied, cheaply dressed in out-of-date slacks and a button-up shirt. He seems generally harried, mainly because he’s partnered with Mav.
Mav, meanwhile, dresses in denim things. Jeans, jean jacket, jean sneakers, like that. His skin is slightly ruddy from being a chaos-type planetouched, although his hair is always perfect. He has a look in his eyes like he might snap at any moment.

Role-playing Nark and Mav: They’re movie cops. Yes, that movie. Beverly Hills Cop. But the other one, too. Nark is a by-the-book cop, frequently flustered, complaining about every complication in the case, usually caused by his partner. He has a slight stammer when he’s anxious, especially when Mav is about to go insane.
Mav is always about to go insane. He threatens violence, to perps, to witnesses, to random bystanders, and sometimes to himself. Nark has to talk him down, all the while he’s repeating variations of the same threat. He is, however, always talked down.
They are both overly dramatic, performing agonizing ‘my buddy is dead’ dialogues over the unconscious body of any PC they’re helping out if he falls down even for a moment. They make up from even slight disagreements with heartfelt “I love you, man” and a big buddy hug.
Under no circumstances do they actually ever solve a case. They mostly just let information slip that lets the PCs take over the investigation. Nonetheless, if a cop is needed, these are probably what you get.
