Hespero interrogates a man in a dragon mascot costume, and determines there may be a connection between funnel cake and a vast conspiracy he's investigating. Bleak and Eternal Torment in the Halls of Lillend Dorm: Hespero wakes up after a night of being a werebat, in Kazerobet's room, with no memory of what happened. He follows up on clues he got at the Winter Carnival, and goes to Murlynd's Greasy Spoon, where he discovers the dive is getting money from Ronald McRonald. Tacos and Trivia: Xizlqk invites Kel, Burvik, and Regdar for tacos, and attempts to convince Regdar to join the baseball team. Regdar doesn't. The Cafeteria Detective Agency: Amizath and Korwan have lunch in the cafeteria, and discover a band of moonrats, stealing all the local cheese to open a portal to the Elemental Plane of Dairy for a "cheese-pedition". Although they let the rats go, they decide to investigate later, picking up Mora and Kara along the way, and journey to the Dairy Plane, where they stumble across an entirely different plot. The Sharp Lord of the Swiss has kidnapped the Princess Lallora, and taken her to his ultimate weapon fortress. Our heroes save the princess, outsmart the Sharp Lord, make some Star Wars jokes, and return home. PC's: Amizath, Korwan (and Blue), Moralulani. The Nymph of Sharn: Roxy gets some help to clean out her salvaged spelljammer. Infirmary Slumber Party: Roxy decides to spend the night with the Deneith twins in the infirmary. Amizath comes to join them. Roxy lights up a joint, to which Amizath turns out to be allergic. Any sexual tension that might have existed between Amizath and Anissa comes bubbling to the surface, obvious to anyone except the four girls. PC's: Amizath, Roxanne d'Cannith. Queen for a New Dawn: Rahariel finds references to an ancient ritual that would allow her to become deathless rather than undead. Oddly, the secrets to this ritual are on the plane of Athas. She rounds up a group consisting of Korwan, Sera, and Trivia, and travels to the Athasian city-state of Urek. Rahariel's player quit the game during this story, and it never reached its conclusion. Thy Presence is Ominous: Lemmy has his long awaited talk with Ihriel, but finds he is no longer interested in talking to her. To the Student's Union! And Beyond!: Roving reporter Kythind arrives on campus, with the campaign-contradicting claim that Sigil Prep's football team has no fan loyalty. Regdar beats him up. He continues to make the claim, Regdar continues to beat him up. Then he wakes up, tied to a tree, and makes the same claim to Maddie. Thus, it is established that Kythind does not value his own safety. Mora also overhears, and stabs the kobold. Finally, he realizes he's wrong, and buys Regdar ice cream. Mystara's Mysteries: Xizlqk goes to Mystara, which is still balanced toward Basic/Expert D&D, to find out what the elf scholar Arathas wants. He is told that off-world githyanki are organizaing Mystara's red dragons. Xizlqk gathers Kara, Neil, and an Illumian cleric named Porfav, to deal with them. Anissa's Great Idea: Anissa tries to convince Korwan to drop out of school and go into the army full time, in hopes that, if he's promoted to general, she can get out of her engagement to Amizath by proving Korwan is a suitable husband. In the process, she reveals she hid a note from Korwan announcing a close friend's being honored with a medal, so he would be with her over winter break. They break up. The Search for SP....'s Star Linebacker: Roxy and Amizath decide to track down Krusk, who's been missing since Penembre quit school over Fall Break. Traveling to Talados with S'kkip, Kythind, and some friends from the Students for Vecna, he discovers Tarrasque Island, where there's actually more than one Tarrasque, and finds the portal to Pun-Pun. The ancient kobolds there tried to maximize themselves to the point where they actually became purely theoretical. He escapes through a portal to Kurtulmak's realm in Hell, and is sent back to Sigil Prep by the mopey, voyeuristic deity. After much moping and crying, Amizath and Anissa kiss, a sight witnesses by Kara. Amizath breaks up with the dragon, and turns to Anissa for comfort. Home of the Meat-Flavored Sandwich (tm): Hespero, Xizlqk, Pembe, and Kazerobet, following up on Hespero's theory that McRonald's fast food is a mind-control plot, instead uncover a vast and bloody fast food rivalry, stemming from a century-old Fast Food War, in which the former fast food monarch, King Burgermeister, was allegedly slain. Not only is Burgermeister alive, but he's plotting to kill Ronald McRonald. Pembe flirts with an assassin, then the group negotiates peace between the fast food moguls. All very surreal. Converging Interests: Amizath and Anissa go to visit their parents, to let them know they are consenting to (and in fact enthusiastic about) the upcoming marriage. At any rate, Merrix sends them to the future to test an experiment, and they encounter their future selves, as well as Anissa and Amizath's son Inigo, and Roxy and Ana's daughter, Roxy Jr. Roxy gets a ring, linking her to Amizath and the twins. Abnormal Fencing with Prof. Vavwik: Iltinger goes to his Abnormal Fencing class, and must try to follow the instructions of Professor Vavwik, who communicates in interpretive dance. Roxy and Maddie (and Xizlqk!) Save the Universe: After discovering that Amizath's wish has altered the fabric of reality (because she's the only one that remembers the previous reality), Roxy rounds up a posse and goes to the Brass Ring, where she promptly talks Krazazahd into giving her wishes by fixing him up with Xizlqk. She fixes the timeline, and increases her bust size, while Krazazahd sings show tunes as Xizlqk, until he discovers the illithid is only six-months old. However, he ends up dating the devil princess Fierna, and match truly made in Hell. Of Mice and Genderqueer Changelings: Reality (as altered in Upon a Star) reasserts itself (as corrected in Roxy and Maddie (and Xizlqk!) Save the Universe), and Amizath is embarrassed to find herself in bed with Kara. She and Kara and Anissa quickly come to terms with the way things are (as much as possible in a few posts). Hespero discovers the pool is filled by Elemental Water. Cariel flirts with Wolliw. The Colonel and King Burgermeister both embarrass the daylights out of Ronald McRonald. Reality changes, then changes back (see Upon a Star, and Roxy and Maddie (and Xizlqk) Save the Universe). Everbody who is anybody (who isn't Lemmy or Biklik or Iltinger) shows up, although Jaro shows up right before it's over. Championship Game: Sigil Prep Vs. Manifest: It's the big game, the championship between two arch-rivals, and everyone is there. (Except Biklik and Lemmy). Before the game, a plan by Genna to foil the cheer squad's record is vanquished, and during half-time, Korwan's hired nemesis tr'Thalar attacks, in what turns out to be the largest and most coordinated villainous act in the game to date (see all the Half-Time threads, above), using minotuars, giants, ogres, dragons, and a herd of bullette. Finally, the day is saved, Sigil Prep wins, and Vander gets the game ball. This Time, It's Personal: Biklik goes to his home in Faerun to see what happened to his tribe. All but his mother were slaughtered, and she had fled some months ago. Biklik seeks information from the local Ogre and Gnoll tribes, finally confronting the rival Trintar tribe of kobolds, who tell him they have turned his father into a crypt spawn. Biklik deftly avoids pirates, a hobgoblin bandit caravan, and a passing elderly couple, then complains about lack of random encounters. He's eaten by a frost toad, harassed by a crazy druid, and has an entire farm avalanche down on him, then wishes he'd never said anything about random encounters. PC: Biklik (and Bitie). The Cult Is Alive: Lemmy thinks the drink machine (Kel playing a prank) and a talking dog (Cariel aiding in a prank) have sent him on a quest to find a black sofa named Nocturno. The sofa is, in fact, in Black Lily's dorm room, though it isn't sentient either (Kel continues to prank). Kel sends him to take the sword, Silvershine, and toss it into the swimming pool, then, pretending to be a nixie, he asks if Lemmy wants the silver arrows, and a heart container. Attack of the Weedwackers: Cariel discovers vrocks in the Green Campus Grove, disguised as landscapers. She discovers they are up to no good, and along with Wolliw and Yffub, she attacks them. Ysgard: The Multiplayer Deathmatch of the Cosmos: Iltinger and Biklik decide to go to Ysgard, to practice combat situations on a battlefield where if they die, they will instantly resurrect, and there's no risk. Serina d'Deneith recognizes the handwriting as her father's, and they go to Eberron, picking up new student Hallister along the way. Xiz and Vander's Not-Quite Excellent, But Still Pretty Darn Good, Adventure: Xizlqk and Vander decide to go out adventuring. Picking up on a quest to save the Princess of the Muffin Kingdom that Akbar never went on, they find an idyllic, if muffin-obsessed, village where a poor stranger named Nell is eternally harassed. The princess, it seems, had been kidnapped by a dragon. As it turns out, it was a copper dragon whom she was shacked up with, and they were playing a very poor practical joke on the village. To "rescue" her, Helene sends the intrepid pair on a scavenger hunt, which results in their re-introduction to Niazan (former PC, now NPC), who it turns out, had an arranged engagement to Princess Helene (as well as his previous fiancees, Kara, Mierra, Gwen, and Tinya). Sweet Connexion: Hespero decides to follow up the "Vampires control Chocolate" theory, and, with Jaro, Ace, Pembe, and Spin in tow, they go to Cocoa Castle Confectionaries, and from there, through the portal to their factory on Oerth. There, they discover that not only is Lord Hershey, vampire lord, controlling chocolate, he's also smuggling brunchberries with the aid of Admiral Brunch. They hijack a ship to Brunchberry Island, where they discover the Admiral is exploiting the native gulgar population, forcing them to pose as the "Brunchberry Beast" for their advertising. Luckily, there is a bowl-shaped lake of milk on the island, and they are able to follow it to the Elemental Plane of Dairy, where Master Yogurt and Ben Ricotta manage to guide them home, and I swear this makes sense. Once More Into the Fray: Arelle comes to seek Korwan's aid when a clone of Fzoul starts poking around the area where Manshoon Jr. once made his headquarters. Although he and too similar-looking individuals claimed to be part of a continued cloning experiment by the Zhentarim, they turned out to be doppelgangers, so what they were really up to remains unknown. Joined by Roxy and Anissa, in their ship the Nymph of Sharn, and a number of other friends and spacers, the group travels to Oerth, and locates Brunch's pirates, already in combat with the Fetta Knights that Pembe had earlier employed to route the pirates. Brunch's ships merge to form a giant boat golem, which attacks the Nymph of Sharn, but Roxy and crew defeat it. Brunch is arrested and sent to a Greyhawk jail. Uncertainty Reigns: Biklik gets a bizarre tip for a newspaper article, about a kobold named Bikkles who made it big in Greyhawk. Immediately suspicious (since "Bikkles" is Tinya-speak for his own name), he soon discovers the mysterious Bikkles is the erinyes Shinaya, who had set a poorly conceived trap for Amizath. Talking her out of the factory she was using to front this operation, he then sells it to Krusk the First. PC: Biklik. Secrets of Hamster Exploration: First spin-off of Secrets of Xen'drik, the Spring Break home thread. Blue goes exploring, finding a tribe of dusklings whom he saves from a needletooth swarm. Then he finds a pair of frost giant archaeologists, who are exploring an ancient giant ruins. Blue helps them discover lost treasure, and fend off a rival fire giant archaeologist. Mission Statement: Cariel finally decides to take care of the problem she was sent to Sigil Prep to solve: Why is the jungle sinking into the swamp? The Druids who sent Cariel to Sigil Prep weren't looking to solve the problem, they were getting her out of the way. Hunt for the Dead: Drunk or Sober: Vander takes Pembe and Korwan into the Olympian Underworld, to rescue his father, Tyriphus, from Hades. They successfully rescue him from perpetual disembowelment, then Vander reintroduces his dad to his Mom, Aganippe. Not to be outdone, Pembe contacted her father, Podalirius, and did the same.
