Volo's Student's Guide to
OERTH
Overview
Oerth is one of the most represented of the Materials in Sigil Prep, and rightly so, since Sigil sits in the cosmology of that world. Known as "The World of Greyhawk" after its most famous city, Oerth is, at least by their point of view, the world by which other worlds are judged. For much of the current era, in fact, it was often easy to assume someone was from Oerth unless they told you otherwise.
Getting from Oerth to Sigil is easy, since they exist in the same conglomerate of planes. Plane Shift and Gate are both effective to go directly to the Outlands (the plane of Sigil), though Portals are certainly more accurate. There are Sigil Prep portals in most major kingdoms, and the areas around the Portals are often popular gathering spots for students in the days before classes begin, or after they end.
