The Elemental Plane of Dairy
Overview
A long time ago, in an Inner Plane nobody much heard of...
It was a time of great strife in the source of all lactose-based food products. The peaceful milk genasi were overrun by the evil cheese genasi, led by the powerful Sharp Lord of the Swiss, who had risen from the ranks of the once-proud Fetta Knights, and turned over to the Sharp Side. The evil empire of Cheese conquered the Milk, the Cream, even the mighty Yogurt, and even the Fetta Knights themselves seemed to be helpless against their might.
It was fated, though, that Lott Hardcheddar, lost son of the Sharp Lord, would be found, and defeat the Sharp Lord.
As it happened, though, Amizath d'Orien, Korwan Truesteel, and Moralulani got there first. The Sharp Lord was defeated, and eventually slain well before the trilogy of prophecies were completed.
Feta Knights and the Cheese
The psionic defenders of Dairy are known as the Feta Knights, each harnessing the Power of Cheese. The Mild Side of the Cheese is the force that is used selflessly, in the defense of others. But some Knights fall to the Sharp Side, the side that is selfish and evil, and tastes a little better. It's exactly the same as psionics on other planes, but they like giving fancy dairy-pun names to things here.
Races of the Dairy Plane
There are several notable races native to Dairy. (Although it is touted as an "Elemental Plane", it behaves in many ways as a Material Plane, save for its surface being made of milk and milk products).
Cheese Genasi: Human-like entities with strong cheese influence. They are generally more given to the Sharp side of the Cheese than Milk Genasi, and have a dark yellow or orangish tint to their skin.
Milk Genasi: Human-like beings with strong milk influence. Unlike Cheese Genasi, they are given to milder temperament. They have a pale white or sometimes very light blue tint to their skin.
Cheesetroopers: Man-sized, humanoid cheese elementals. Unlike Cheese Genasi, Cheesetroopers are actually comprised of cheese. They are created and trained to serve the Sharp Lord.
Cookiees: The Dairy word for "bugbear". Dairy bugbears are generally good or unaligned, and allied with the Milk Genasi.
other Cheese, Milk, Yogurt, etc. elementals: Various other dairy-based elementals inhabit the plane, from the size large Cheese Weirds known as Kurds, to the mindless Ice Cream Elemental called the Scoompa.
Landscape of Dairy
Defromage: Curdled milk swamps, very dangerous, but the site of the Fetta training grounds. Master Yogurt makes his home here.
Limberg: Forest area, home of the cheese mephits.
Philadelphia: Floating cream cheese city, a major base of operations for the Sharp Lord's empire.
Tatorella: The hot (almost melted) cheese planes inhabited by the Milk Genasi. The only known portal from Sigil opens here, near Ben Ricotta's cave. The settlement of Curdler's Gulch is not far from the portal, either.
uh... Hoth: Ice Cream tundras, and a major site of the rebellion against the cheese overlords. Tasty, too.
notable inhabitants of Dairy
Ben Ricotta (milk genasi Psychic Warrior-18): An aged practitioner of the Power of Cheese, who once trained the Sharp Lord of the Swiss, before he turned to the sharp side.
Danlo (tiefling warblade-9): Former Sigil Prep student and mercenary, who struck an alliance with the Sharp Lord of the Swiss, and betrayed Korwan to him, not knowing the Sharp Lord was already dead. Danlo is not a native of Dairy, but is strongly associated with the rebellion.
Gouda the Kurd (Cheese Weird Noble-6): A crime lord in the Elemental Plane of Dairy, to whom the fire genasi Solan owes money.
Princess Lallora of Two-Percent (milk gensasi Aristocrat-7): The Princess of Two-Percent in the Elemental Plane of Dairy. She is a leader in the rebellion against the Sharp Lord of the Swiss. Her children, Jack and Jenna, attend Sigil Prep.
Lott Hardcheddar (cheese genasi Psychic Warrior-5): The son of the Sharp Lord of the Swiss, although he's unaware of it. He lives at Curdler's Gulch in the Elemental Plane of Dairy, and completely missed his chance to be a hero.
"Mace" (real name: Win Du; human Psychic Warrior-8): A former student of Master Yogurt, and friend of Spin. They call him "Mace" because he uses a mace.
Sharp Lord of the Swiss (Cheese Genasi Psychic Warrior-7/WarMind 5): The tyrannical ruler of the Elemental Plane of Dairy. A former pupil of Ben Ricotta, he once practiced the Power of Cheese, but succumbed to the Sharp Side, and slowly carved out an empire. He was recently killed by Korwan Truesteel, but come on, villains don't stay dead.
Solan (fire genasi Rogue-8): An informant and smuggler who frequents the Brass Ring. Not native to the Diary Plane, he is the husband of Princess Lallora.
Master Yogurt (blue goblin Psion (kineticist)-20): One of the Fetta masters of the Elemental Plane of Dairy. He speaks in broken syntax. Really, really badly broken syntax.
