Background: Bucky Bucks was born into money. Crazy money. The kind of
money that only comes from plot background, and never runs out.
Needless to say, Bucky was spoiled. He and his brother
Caspian never grew up wanting for anything. Not food, nor shelter, nor yachts,
servants, nor sixteen hundred acres of land on which to build a summer home. And
that on six continents.
The brothers were each other’s only friends, so
secluded were they from anything resembling how halflings (especially Greyhawk
halflings) normally live. Caspian, nonetheless, was very friendly, and went out
of his way to talk to the peasant children. Which is why he caught the plague
and died. (He’s a ghost now, and quite happy, don’t worry).
Now alone (his brother comes to visit quite often, but
Bucky doesn’t believe in ghosts, so ignores him), Bucky became increasingly
self-centered and arrogant.
So much so, that his parents sent him off to school to
learn to socialize. They even put him in a less-expensive dorm just to teach him
a lesson.
He has not learned that lesson. Though lord knows Bix
has tried.
Appearance: Even for a halfling, Bucky isn’t tall. He wears a little
tuxedo suit with little short pants all the time, simply to demonstrate he’s
rich. He has blonde hair, parted smack in the middle, and a smattering of
freckles.
Role-playing Bucky Bucks: Bucky is a snob, although he doesn’t seem aware
of his arrogance. He generally doesn’t think non-rich people are beneath him,
but he doesn’t think much anyway. Money is the first solution to all his
problems, and he’ll avoid any work he can pay someone else to do.
In times of duress, he is quite meek, however. When he
feels over his head (which could occur as readily during an orc attack and at
the threat of a fifty-foot waterslide), his snobbery bleeds out, and he follows
the lead of whoever shows any sort of confidence.
As a living plothook, Bucky is not more powerful than
his peers (by any means), but may offer generous awards for errands or tasks
that could easily become adventures.

Caspian (halfling ghost Rogue-2): Bucky’s
deceased brother, the friendliest ghost you know. He tries to help Bucky when he
can, but Bucky doesn’t believe in him.
Wentworth (flesh golem): Bucky’s
long-suffering butler. Even a mindless automaton can sigh.
