Athas
Also known by outsiders as "Dark Sun", Athas is an ancient, old, really, really hot desert world that was devastated by its own misuse of magic. Seems to me somebody should have gone to Sigil Prep a few thousand years ago, maybe you'd have some vegetable matter and drinking water, huh?
Student's should note that even base metals are valuable here, and you might be mugged for your armor, weapons, or belt buckles. There's little to drink, and even less to eat, unless you like giant insects. Oh, yeah, and the halflings might try to eat you, so be careful with that, too.
Gladiatorial combat is big here, so it may be a way to pick up a few bucks. It might also be a way to become a slave to the Dragon Kings, so be careful with that.
There are no restaurants to mention. Those you find have small portions and cost an arm and a leg (sometimes literally). Pack a lunch.
